MSN vs Google

I love Wordpress as stated in the post before this one.  Because of this I have a couple of sites that I play around with so I can learn without messing up my real estate site.

On one of the play sites, I have the majority of traffic coming from MSN; probably 90% of it.  But on the real estate site it is 90% Google traffic.  I can’t point to anything that causes one thing or the other.  I do similar SEO things for both.

Interestingly I couldn’t find an article on how to improve my MSN results but there are tons of articles on how to improve Google searching you.  I really don’t know why anyone would use something other than Google.  It works like I need and any time I tried to use another search engine I was not impressed.

But that doesn’t change the fact that MSN likes one of my sites.  Should I push to get more MSN searchers on my real estate site?  Or is the difference in the search results indicative of the people who are searching for certain terms?  As I delve deeper into the internet void I may learn that answer.

On this site I will be doing no SEO tricks, no tags, no categories, no sitemaps, no outbound links unless I have to, or anything else.  My name is in the title.  I won’t use it again anywhere as this site was really just a placeholder for my name as a domain.  I did decide to put a sitemeter on here just to track if anyone comes here when I really am not trying.   It is a good way to see how important SEO really is.
